This internship focuses on analyzing healthcare data and supporting AI/NLP innovation projects, requiring strong SQL and analytical skills.ResponsibilitiesPerform analytics for Risk Adjustment operations, including PR number calculations, analysis of False Positive and False Negative ICD10 Codes, and HCC metricsWrite SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze healthcare data from enterprise databasesDevelop Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize Risk Adjustment metrics, trends, and operational KPIsWork with medical claims data, ICD-10 codes, and Risk Adjustment models to support business operationsLearn and assist with NLP projects, LLM integration, and AI innovation initiatives that enhance medical data processingPerform data quality checks, validation processes, and reconciliation for healthcare datasetsAssist with data pipelines, transformations, and data preparation for analytics and AI applicationsQuery SQL Server and Oracle databases to support business analytics and reporting needsDocument analytical processes, data definitions, and support quality assurance activitiesComplete all special projects and other duties as assignedSkillsCurrently pursuing a degree in Business, MBA, or related fieldGPA of 3.0 or higherStrong SQL skills required - ability to write complex queries, joins, and perform data analysisData analysis experience with Excel, statistical tools, or analytics platformsExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similarStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesInterest in healthcare analytics and AI technologiesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and presentation skillsEager to learn new technologies and business domainsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCandidate should be in Pacific time zoneBenefitsNonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law.Company OverviewCotiviti enables healthcare organizations to deliver better care at lower cost through advanced technology and data analytics that improve the quality and sustainability of healthcare in the United States.
