[Remote] Interim Finance Consultant – Cash Flow & Forecasting

Aprio Talent Solutions is working with a high-growth technology company seeking an interim finance consultant to stabilize its cash flow forecasting. The role involves reviewing the existing cash flow forecast, diagnosing variances, and implementing best practices, with a focus on transitioning ownership to internal staff over time.ResponsibilitiesReview the existing 13-week rolling cash flow forecast, including its inputs, data flows, and reporting cadenceDiagnose the root causes of forecast variances and back-test the model against actualsRecommend and implement best practices to improve forecast accuracy and reliabilityStrengthen the underlying data flows and establish a repeatable, well-documented processDeliver clear, leadership-ready explanations of cash position, variance drivers, and riskDocument the process and transition ownership to internal staff for long-term operationSkillsDeep, hands-on experience owning and running a 13-week rolling cash flow forecastProven ability to diagnose forecast variances and separate timing issues from true cash changesExperience assessing and improving a forecasting process, data inputs, and reporting cadenceStrong command of AR/AP timing, payroll, debt obligations, and operational cash driversBack-testing or model validation experienceBackground in PE-backed, turnaround, restructuring, carve-out, or high-cash-burn environmentsAbility to document processes and transition them to internal staffTechnology or SaaS industry experienceExperience supporting a company separation, carve-out, or other major transitionPrior interim, fractional, or consulting engagementsCPA, MBA, or comparable finance credentialFamiliarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERPCompany OverviewBy leveraging our trusted network of industry professionals, Aprio makes it easy for you to find the people you need.
