The Instructional Designer will support multiple projects by designing and developing engaging, learner-centered educational programs and digital learning assets while collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to ensure instructional quality and effectiveness.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop engaging, learner-centered educational programs grounded in adult learning principles and instructional design best practicesCreate digital learning assets, including storyboards, wireframes, graphics, motion graphics, and video contentPartner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate complex content into clear, interactive, and effective learning experiencesConduct SME interviews to gather and synthesize content for blended and digital learning solutionsCollaborate with SMEs to develop evaluation strategies, including knowledge checks, assessments, and course evaluationsWork closely with the Product Innovation team to guide stakeholders through adaptive learning engagements, from kick-off through user acceptance testingDeliver strategic e-learning consulting to internal stakeholders and higher education clients, including course design, template development, blended delivery, and student engagement strategiesEnsure consistency and alignment across projects by applying established instructional design standards and best practicesParticipate in content review, revision, and approval cycles to ensure quality, accuracy, and instructional effectivenessManage priorities, timelines, and deliverables across projects while tracking work within project management toolsSkillsBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical or educational field3+ years of experience in instructional design and online content developmentAdvanced knowledge of adult learning principles and online learning methodologies, including usability and web accessibility best practicesExperience applying established instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking)Proficiency with e-learning and multimedia authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Audacity, Camtasia, Vyond)Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and applying accessibility standardsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for visual and graphic designDemonstrated strengths in organization, problem-solving, analysis, design, and testingCreative, innovative, and adaptable approach to course design and developmentAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining quality, meeting deadlines, and adhering to budget constraintsFlexibility to travel up to 10% in support of business objectivesMaster's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related fieldExperience designing online course content for higher education institutionsPrior teaching or instructional experienceBackground in legal education or possession of a law degreeExperience with video post-production workflows, including editing, color correction, and audio enhancementBenefitsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance plans to keep you and your loved ones covered.A healthy contribution to your 401(k) retirement savings.Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, volunteer and other "personal" days, to recharge and explore your interests.An on-site fitness facility in our HQDiscounts on gym membershipsWellness initiatives to support your physical and mental well-being.Access our extensive library of educational resources, courses, and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in both professional and personal development areas.Flexible work hours and remote work options, allowing you to manage your schedule and responsibilities effectively.Opportunities for Growth and Advancement through mentorship programs, volunteer opportunities, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback/coaching sessions.Access our employee assistance program for confidential counseling, legal assistance, and other support services.Company OverviewFounded in 1967, BARBRI is the leading provider of US bar exam preparation, helping over 1.4 million learners worldwide pass the bar.
