The Instructional Designer will design, develop, and implement innovative leadership development programs to enhance leadership capabilities throughout the organization.ResponsibilitiesCreate learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other learning design deliverables. Develop learning solutions using project-based templates. Test and debug deliverables for quality assurance. Ensure leaning solutions align with desired outcomesPartner with Learning Strategy Senior Managers on confirming needs analysis and instructional strategyKnow standard eLearning development tools and software (Articulate Storyline and Presenter, Adobe Captivate)Proactively communicate task and project status to client group and managementAssist in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of contractors and associatesSkillsStrong communication skillsPassionate about leadership developmentStrong background in instructional design, leadership, talent development, or psychologyTrack record of using innovative approaches to develop people, particularly leadersExperience with vertical development, coaching, or leading a teamExperience with Agile Learning Development or the Successive Approximation Model (SAM)Self-driven, resourceful, and excellent at project managementComfortable taking risks, communicating new ideas to a variety of audiences, being a trusted consultant and partner, and propelling current thinking about leader development to the next levelMust be eighteen years of age or olderMust be legally permitted to work in the United StatesThe knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED3 years of work experienceMaster's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resource Development, Organizational Behavior and Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or related field4+ years in the Learning fieldExperience creating training deliverables for leadersExperience conducting learning needs analysisExperience with project managementExperience with Agile Learning Development or the Successive Approximation Model (SAM)Experience developing content for leaders at multiple levelsExperience working closely with leaders director-level and aboveAdvanced knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theoriesExperience applying or researching psychological methods to shape thinking and behaviorAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OutlookAdvanced knowledge of eLearning development tools and software (i.e., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate)Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to communicate and present information to various groups within THDAbility to work independently (e.g., project revisions, solving issues as they arise)Company OverviewThe Home Depot is a retailer of hardware, consumer goods, and DIY supplies both online and offline while providing home delivery services.
