[Remote] Instructional Designer

The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to assess training needs and designing learning solutions that enhance employee skills and knowledge.ResponsibilitiesGathering and assessing a variety of sources to deepen your understanding of the project’s audience, content, and needs. This may include interviewing organizational stakeholders and subject-matter experts, collecting and analyzing survey results, reviewing and evaluating existing courses and source content, etcCollaborating with stakeholders to define learning objectivesDesigning learning solution proposals that address the defined project needs and incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. This includes presenting your design proposals to stakeholders and incorporating their feedbackDrafting outlines, storyboards, scripts, and/or prototypes to support developmentBuilding polished final deliverables that contain clear instructional copy, adhere to brand guidelines, and incorporate basic graphic design/visual communication principlesCollaborating with other instructional designers, including participating in team brainstorming and design critique activities, requesting and incorporating feedback on work-in-progress deliverables, providing feedback to other designers, supporting other designers on client calls and presentations, etcCollaborating with organizational support groups such as IT, Corporate Communications, and Training Admin to ensure your solutions align with Sargent & Lundy systems and standardsGathering and analyzing data and feedback throughout development and after the launch.
