They are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales & Market Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing opportunities that support the growth of their Regional Sales organization.ResponsibilitiesConduct outbound telephone outreach to a large portfolio of existing, inactive, and underdeveloped customer accountsConduct a high volume of outbound business development activity, averaging 25–40 outbound calls and customer contacts per dayMaintain consistent customer engagement, targeting a minimum of 8–12 meaningful live customer conversations per weekGenerate qualified sales leads and development opportunities that support territory growth objectives and Regional Account Manager successMaintain accurate and timely CRM documentation, ensuring all customer interactions, opportunity updates, and account intelligence are recorded dailyMeet established activity, lead generation, and opportunity development KPIs established by managementContinuously expand account penetration through proactive outreach, market research, and opportunity identificationProvide weekly activity summaries highlighting customer engagement, qualified opportunities, market intelligence, and recommended follow-up actionsEngage professionally with technical, procurement, R&D, operations, and commercial stakeholdersIdentify current product usage, future development projects, formulation challenges, and unmet customer needsQualify accounts based on strategic fit, technical complexity, growth potential, and timingIdentify and develop new opportunities for Regional Account Managers, including development-stage and future-focused projectsCapture and summarize opportunity details clearly, accurately, and professionallyDocument all findings within the CRM system with concise and actionable insightsDevelop account summaries and opportunity briefs for Regional Account ManagersFlag high-priority opportunities and recommend next stepsPartner closely with Regional Account Managers to align discovery efforts with regional growth strategiesCoordinate effective handoffs for qualified opportunities while ensuring continuity and contextProvide ongoing feedback regarding market trends, customer sentiment, and competitive activityRepresent Herbstreith & Fox with professionalism, credibility, and confidenceMaintain a consultative, value-based approach rather than a transactional sales postureSkillsBachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Communications, Food Science, or related field preferred)Three to five years of professional sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing commercial experienceExperience in B2B sales environments required; food ingredients, specialty chemicals, nutraceuticals, or technical products strongly preferredStrong telephone presence with the ability to engage decision-makers and build credibility quicklyExcellent listening, questioning, and diagnostic skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to assess opportunity quality and strategic valueStrong written communication skills for internal reporting, CRM documentation, and opportunity summariesHighly organized with the ability to manage a large portfolio of accounts and activities simultaneouslySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environmentProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applicationsBenefitsCompetitive base salary and performance incentive programMedical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) programPaid vacation and holidaysRemote home-office work environmentOpportunity to work with a growing global leader in food ingredientsProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesCollaborative and entrepreneurial culture focused on customer success and innovationCompany OverviewCareersInFood is the largest & most comprehensive niche job board in North America dedicated to the Food & Beverage Manufacturing community.
