We're looking for a skilled Inpatient Medical Coder to review medical records, assign accurate codes, and maintain high productivity standards. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for medical terminology, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
Assign and sequence codes accurately based on medical record documentation
Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
Communicate documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues to personnel
Maintain high coding accuracy rates and productivity standards
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of inpatient coding facility experience
CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Associate or Bachelor's degree from an AHIMA-certified HIM or Nursing Program (optional)
Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software (optional)
