This role focuses on supporting technology budgets, enhancing financial reporting processes, and providing data-driven insights to influence technology investment decisions.ResponsibilitiesConsolidate and normalize financial data across multiple IT cost centers and budget ownersDevelop a unified view of technology spend using advanced Excel tools and reporting techniquesValidate financial inputs and identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and opportunities for improvementPartner with Finance and Accounting teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAnalyze IT costs including labor, cloud, software licensing, and hardware investmentsSupport technology investment decisions through financial analysis and reportingTrack strategic initiatives and gather updates from initiative ownersStandardize reporting processes and help build scalable portfolio management frameworksCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and actionable financial insightsSkillsExperience supporting IT Finance, Technology Finance, FinOps, or FP&A functionsExperience consolidating budgets across multiple cost centers or business unitsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query (required) and Pivot TablesStrong experience with data cleansing, normalization, and financial reportingExperience analyzing budgets, forecasts, and variancesAbility to work independently in an evolving and ambiguous environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience supporting technology organizations with budgets of $50M+Understanding of IT cost structures, including labor, cloud, software licensing, and hardwareFamiliarity with concepts such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and technology/product costingExperience supporting Data & Analytics organizations or technology portfoliosExposure to program or portfolio management processesExperience with Power BI or SQL is a plus but not requiredCompany OverviewOPTOMI is an IT staffing firm that serves its consultants, clients, and employees through its consultant-focused approach.
