Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Scalence L.L.C. is seeking an End User Computing – Desktop Engineer specializing in Mac and Ubuntu environments. The role focuses on service ownership and continuous improvement of macOS and Ubuntu services, including system management and fourth-level support, while enhancing the overall end user experience in an expanding enterprise environment.ResponsibilitiesEnhance the overall end user experience for macOS in an Agile environment in collaboration with engineering, operations, security, and support teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and supportable endpoint serviceOwn and improve macOS endpoint management workflows and platform configurations, including enrollment, provisioning, configuration, security, patching, inventory, application packaging, software distribution, reporting, and compliance enforcementSupport endpoint security and compliance initiatives by implementing required controls, monitoring device posture, and assisting with incident response and remediation activitiesProvide Level 4 support and lead technical resolution of complex incidents involving macOS devices, application deployments, endpoint tooling, identity integrations, and security controlsCreate and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and knowledge articles to support macOS endpoint services and related processesReview service health and endpoint reliability metrics, validate policy and configuration changes, and support testing for new applications, tools, and security capabilitiesOwn and support the Ubuntu/Linux endpoint platform, including current-state management and future-state scaling as adoption expands within the enterpriseEstablish and standardize Ubuntu endpoint management practices, including provisioning, configuration, patching, security controls, and lifecycle managementSkillsMinimum of five years of experience engineering and supporting a large macOS estate in a medium-to-large enterprise environmentExperience with Linux/Ubuntu administration or support is beneficialMinimum of a high school diploma or GED requiredStrong knowledge of macOS, Linux/Ubuntu, Jamf Pro, Client Intune, Client Business Manager, automated device enrollment, configuration profiles, Entra ID, conditional access, directory services, virtualization platforms such as Citrix and Client, FileVault, Client 365, browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Edge, SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, shell scripting, Bash, Python, PowerShell, Jira, and ServiceNowStrong understanding of software lifecycle management, packaging, patching, endpoint compliance, and vulnerability management concepts within a large enterprise environmentExceptional customer service skills with the ability to work with onshore and offshore business units and interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authorityStrong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamworkAbility to positively influence, mentor, and serve as a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team membersBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferredRelevant certifications in Jamf, Client, Client, and Agile products and methodologies are a plusBenefitsW2 optionCompany OverviewIn today’s dynamic and competitive market, success hinges on mastering three key areas: Data Intelligence, Business Resilience, and Digital Experience.
