[Remote] Information Security Analyst, Scholars Operations Center

The Information Security Analyst, Scholars Operations Center will support the Florida Scholars Academy program by providing Tier 2 support, analyzing system usage, and investigating reports of suspicious behavior.ResponsibilitiesAttend daily team standup meetingsRespond to security incidents, working with incident response leads and subject matter experts to determine root cause and in creating a post-incident reportProvide daily reports of findings and remediationsInvestigate and resolve incidents from users in ServiceNowReview security event logs and alerts, escalating to engineers and management when necessaryCommunicate updates to stakeholders regularly and respond to inquiriesDocument new processes and update existing documentationMeet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for othersAll work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets establishedWork during normally scheduled FLVS holidays with a compensating time-off scheduleSkillsAssociate's degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience4 years of providing real-time support during business hours3 years of examining and responding to network appliance logs3 years of responding to security incidents3 years of utilizing remote support tools to provide troubleshooting1 year of implementing cybersecurity best practices based on policy documentationAdapts quickly to change and thrives in a fast-paced environmentExperience with threat-hunting methods and best practicesUnderstands the appropriate use of remote monitoring toolsCan prioritize multiple incidents and tasks efficiently while providing regular updatesExperience with FortiGate firewall and FortiAnalyzer interfacesStrong written and verbal communication skillsIT or Cybersecurity certification preferredBenefitsCompetitive salariesA well-rounded benefits packageGenerous paid time off (including 25 holidays, vacation, and sick leave)An array of professional development opportunitiesWork during normally scheduled FLVS holidays with a compensating time-off scheduleCompany OverviewFlorida Virtual School is the leader in online learning.
