The role involves managing user lifecycle processes, supporting IAM technologies, and collaborating with IT and business partners to enhance IAM maturity.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automation solutions that improve identity and access management (IAM) operations and reduce manual effortManage user lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and deprovisioning across enterprise systemsSupport and maintain IAM technologies and access controls within Active Directory, Azure, and hybrid environmentsMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IAM systems, automated workflows, and integrations to ensure secure and reliable performanceAssist with the implementation, configuration, and integration of IAM tools, technologies, and system enhancementsAssess IAM processes and environments to identify security risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and continuous improvementSupport compliance with regulatory and security frameworks, including HIPAA, FDA, and CIS ControlsContribute to the development of IAM policies, procedures, standards, and strategic initiatives that advance IAM maturityResearch, evaluate, and document IAM solutions, requirements, and technical specifications to support implementation effortsTrack IAM performance, compliance, and risk metrics; prepare reports and recommendations for leadershipCollaborate with IT teams, business partners, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable identity and access management solutionsSkillsBachelor's degree in related area or equivalent work experience, requiredPowerShell scripting and automationObject-oriented programmingIdentity lifecycle managementActive Directory, Azure, LDAPIAM tools and integration with HR systemsMFA, SSO, audit processes – RequiredOne or more of the following certifications (or equivalent) is required: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Okta Certified Professional, Other vendor-specific or role-relevant IAM/security certificationsFive (5) years of experience in identity and access management, including systems administration and support, requiredProficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, object-oriented programming)Strong understanding of IAM workflows, provisioning, and deprovisioningExperience with IAM tools and integration with enterprise systemsAbility to analyze and improve IAM processes and recommend solutionsEffective communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaborationAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independentlyStrong attention to detail and commitment to security and complianceTeam-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solvingAudit and risk management knowledge – PreferredExperience working in healthcare or regulated industries, preferredHands-on experience with IAM automation and scripting, preferredCompany OverviewVitalant is a blood collection, testing, logistics and distribution service provider company.
