[Remote] Hyper-V Infrastructure Consultant - 100% REMOTE - Contract

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iShift is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant with deep expertise in Hyper-V and Microsoft infrastructure technologies. The role focuses on infrastructure assessments, migration projects, troubleshooting complex environments, and helping clients modernize their on-premises and hybrid infrastructures.ResponsibilitiesConduct infrastructure assessments and health checks for client environmentsAnalyze and document existing Hyper-V, Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud environmentsLead and execute migration projects, including Hyper-V deployments, server migrations, Active Directory modernization, and infrastructure upgradesTroubleshoot complex infrastructure, virtualization, identity, and performance issuesDevelop recommendations, remediation plans, and technical roadmaps for clientsDesign and implement Microsoft infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical requirementsAssist clients with hybrid identity solutions utilizing Microsoft Entra IDSupport backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity assessments and implementationsCreate technical documentation, assessment reports, and implementation plansCollaborate with project teams, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout project lifecyclesSkills5+ years of experience working with Microsoft infrastructure technologiesStrong hands-on experience with Hyper-V architecture, deployment, migrations, and troubleshootingDeep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicyExperience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environmentsExperience performing infrastructure assessments and migration projectsStrong troubleshooting skills across virtualization, identity, networking, and server platformsExperience with VMware environments and migration planning is highly desirableFamiliarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as VeeamExcellent client-facing communication and documentation skillsExperience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architecturesPowerShell scripting and automation experienceMicrosoft certifications (Azure, Windows Server, Hybrid Infrastructure, etc.)Consulting, professional services, or MSP experience preferredCompany OverviewiShift is an information technology company.
