[Remote] Human Resources Specialist - HRIS/Payroll

JCW Group is representing a growing financial services company seeking an HR Specialist – HRIS & Payroll to support the administration and optimization of HR systems and payroll operations. This role involves managing HR data, system administration, reporting, compliance, and payroll processing.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and securityManage employee data transactions, including hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and organizational updatesServe as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related issues, troubleshooting system problems and coordinating with vendors as neededConfigure and test system enhancements, updates, workflows, and integrationsDevelop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, audits, and data analyses to support business and regulatory requirementsSupport HR processes through system automation and process improvement initiativesCoordinate and process payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administrationValidate payroll data, review payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issuesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax requirements, and internal policiesMaintain payroll records and support internal and external auditsAssist with year-end payroll activities, including tax reporting and related reconciliationsPartner with HR, Finance, and other business units to support employee data and payroll requirementsDevelop and maintain documentation for HRIS and payroll processes and proceduresSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience supporting HRIS administration and payroll operationsExperience in a Human Resources Department within the banking or finance industriesExperience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems, including system maintenance, reporting, and troubleshootingStrong knowledge of HR data management, payroll processing, and compliance requirementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industriesExperience with HRIS implementations, upgrades, or system optimization projectsKnowledge of HR metrics, reporting, and workforce analyticsProfessional HR or payroll certification preferredCompany OverviewJCW Group is a recruitment company that offers talent solutions to businesses.
