Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RPStaffing is conducting a search for a People and Culture Specialist with a major Washington, DC area nonprofit. This fully remote position involves a variety of tasks within Human Resources, focusing on talent acquisition, employee experience, HR operations, benefits administration, and performance management.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking system administrationSupport hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experienceCoordinate background checks, offer documentation, pre-employment activities, and onboarding logisticsFacilitate new hire onboarding and orientation activitiesMaintain recruiting records, candidate pipelines, and hiring documentationSupport employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and culture initiativesAssist with planning and execution of employee events, all-staff meetings, engagement activities, and Culture Committee initiativesHelp administer employee surveys and support follow-up action planning effortsServe as a resource for employees regarding People & Culture programs, policies, and proceduresServe as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, systems, and People & Culture programsMaintain employee records and personnel documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data integrityCoordinate onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and employment documentationSupport compliance activities, required notices, audits, reporting, and recordkeeping requirementsAssist with policy administration and process documentationSupport benefits administration, enrollment activities, qualifying life events, and employee benefit inquiriesCoordinate with brokers, vendors, and carriers to resolve employee issues and ensure accurate administrationMaintain HRIS data integrity and support system administration activitiesAssist with HR technology initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and user training effortsGenerate standard reports and assist with workforce data tracking as neededSupport administration of performance management processes and systemsAssist with Individual Development Plan (IDP) tracking, learning programs, and professional development initiativesCoordinate training logistics, learning resources, and employee development activitiesMaintain learning and development records and resourcesAssist with annual People & Culture initiatives including performance reviews, open enrollment, engagement surveys, compliance activities, and workforce planning effortsSupport special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assignedContribute ideas and recommendations that improve employee experience, operational efficiency, and People & Culture service deliveryPerform other duties as assignedSkillsCandidates must currently be living in the Washington, D.C. areaBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of Human Resources, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, or related experienceExperience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, benefits, HR systems, or employee programsDemonstrated customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering responsive, high-quality support to employees, managers, candidates, and external partnersStrong technology aptitude and ability to quickly learn, navigate, and optimize new systems, platforms, and processesExperience working with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, benefits administration systems, or other workplace technologiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platformsStrong project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-throughBenefitsExceptional comprehensive benefits packageFully remote opportunityW2 optionCompany OverviewA career with a purpose.
