They are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support their HR team by administering leaves, benefits, and onboarding processes while maintaining a high-quality employee-focused culture.ResponsibilitiesProcesses and administers leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLAProcesses and administer accommodation requests supporting team members through the interactive processAssists with benefits administration for various benefit platforms and handling applicable file feedsAssists in performing quality audits on benefit related dataConducts parts of new-hire onboarding and orientation, including setting up new team members in our company HRIS and conducting I-9 verificationsServes as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions, answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and more, while deciphering when to refer complex matters to our Sr. HR Generalist or Employee Relations ManagerTriages the HR email inbox, assisting with timely and thoughtful responsesAssists the HR team in keeping spreadsheets and processes up to date regarding any changesMaintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation while maintaining integrity and confidentiality of the content contained thereinWorks to build knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting Lap of LoveAssists in completing records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policiesConducts or acquires background checks and motor vehicle records requests as neededPerforms routine tasks including, but not limited to, benefits, leave of absences, onboarding, verifications of employment, worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, and employee changes such as job title, compensation, and other employee information changesSupports other projects and functions as needed within the Human Resources department, providing applicable and timely updates on the team’s project management and task boardSkillsMinimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist roleBroad knowledge and thorough understanding of Human Resources, with expertise and knowledge in benefits programs, policies and procedures, state laws and regulations affecting Human Resources Management and organizational objectives, and regulatory complianceBachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related fieldSHRM-CP or equivalent certificationExperience with multi-state employmentPrior experience with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps), Paylocity, Dayforce, Monday.com, and ZoomBenefitsHealth Insurance Plan (Medical) with 100% employer paid HSA option availableDental and Vision PlansRetirement Plan (Traditional 401k with 3% match and Roth 401k)Paid Time OffBereavement LeavePaid Parental LeaveEmployer-funded Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary, and AD&D)Short Term and Long Term Disability InsuranceTraining & DevelopmentPet Discount Plan and Pet InsuranceCompany OverviewLap of love veterinary hospice is a veterinary company specializes in Pet Hospice, In Home Pet euthanasia, Veterinary Medicine.
