They are seeking an HR Business Partner who will operate as a trusted advisor and coach, building effective partnerships with business leaders to enhance Fender’s talent strategy and workplace culture.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the Fender business, goals, and strategic initiatives, as well as how these items align with the talent strategy to accelerate resultsWork within an assigned area on organizational strategy, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management activitiesIn partnership with the Interim Chief Talent Officer, strategically identify emerging talent challenges and opportunities, partnering cross-functionally to create solutionsDrive employee engagement and strengthen workplace culture through leader partnership and proactive problem-solvingLead investigations and act as a neutral party in fact-finding while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness, and minimizing exposure to the businessAdvise and coach leaders and employees on best practices related to leadership development, decision making, employee relations, performance management, and human resources processesManage and support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave of absence and accommodation processes, organizational changes, and offboarding, while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment practicesDemonstrated proficiency in utilizing HCM systems to manage employee data, reporting, and core HR processes (e.g. personnel changes, job titles, terminations)Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and assist in the creation of, and adherence to, policies, standards, and proceduresLeverage HR data, trends, and employee feedback to drive informed decision-making while providing guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace concernsGrow a corporate culture that fosters fast learning and continuous improvement of the organization through initiatives and eventsAssist with special projects and employee events as necessarySkillsBachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in HR, Business Administration, or Organizational Psychology preferredMinimum of 3 years of proven HR experience with a demonstrated advancement and progression of your HR knowledge and responsibilitiesProven experience translating business objectives into talent strategy and HR initiatives, then leading through execution and change managementIn-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local employment lawsExperience working within a global enterprise-wide HCM program, preferably SuccessFactorsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface and influence audiences of all levels throughout the companyAbility to continuously look for opportunities to improve and scale processes in support of company growthA well-developed sense of ownership, flexibility, and a high tolerance for ambiguityBenefitsMedicalDental401(k)Paid time offAn equipment purchase program to help you get the band back togetherCompany OverviewSince 1946, Fender has revolutionized music and culture as one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors.
