[Remote] Human Resources Benefits Coordinator

This role involves managing enrollments, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with various regulations while partnering with HR, Payroll, and vendors.ResponsibilitiesProcess new hire enrollments and benefit changes in HRIS and benefits administration systemsMaintain accurate employee records related to promotions, transfers, terminations, pay changes, and qualifying life eventsRespond to employee questions regarding benefits eligibility, enrollments, and plan detailsConduct routine audits to ensure accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systemsPartner with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and employee eligibility updatesSupport compliance activities related to ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAAAssist with employee communications, benefits materials, and open enrollment activitiesCoordinate with vendors, carriers, and brokers to resolve employee issues and support service deliverySkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field1–2 years of benefits administration experienceWorking knowledge of ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA regulationsExperience with HRIS and benefits administration systemsIntermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tablesStrong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills1–2 years of general HR experience preferredCompany OverviewALTEA Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization committed to revolutionizing the delivery of outpatient/post-acute care.
