Katmai Government Services is a company seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide comprehensive support to their Human Resources Department. The role includes responsibilities such as benefits administration, employee relations, HRIS maintenance, and record keeping.ResponsibilitiesProvide extensive computer support to the Human Resources DepartmentProcess employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and separationsFacilitate onboarding activities and ensure completion of required employment documentationMaintain HRIS databases, employee recordkeeping, data security and integrity, and personnel information reportingAssist employees with leave requests, HR policies, and general employment related inquiriesEnter, audit, and maintain employee information within HRIS system and other HR platformsMaintain employee personnel filesMaintain records to assure compliance with EEO and affirmative action legislationAssist with employment verifications, personnel action forms, and employee communicationsMaintain confidentiality of applicant, employee, and proprietary company informationWork with and process data using computerized spreadsheets and database applicationsProvide quality control of all data entered into the HRIS systemsPartner with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee informationMaintain regular and punctual attendancePerform other duties as assignedSkillsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of two (2) years administrative experience which includes providing general human resources support resources such as HR record keeping and document processingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and TeamsCollege or technical coursework is preferredExperience working within Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and onboarding platforms; Costpoint experience preferredStrong data entry, auditing, and recordkeeping skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailKnowledge of HR processes include onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, leave administration, and employment documentationKnowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA), prevailing wage requirements, collective bargaining agreements, or other federal labor regulationsExperience working in a multi-company setting is preferredAbility to work independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentialityStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanorAbility to contribute to the fostering of positive office morale; be a team playerAbility to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with applicants, employees, and managers at all levels of the organizationExperience supporting remote or geographically dispersed workforcesStrong customer service skills with a commitment to providing timely, accurate, and professional supportExcellent telephone skillsAbility to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsEligible Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Vacation & Paid Personal Time, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and Leave of Absence.Company OverviewKatmai Government Services develops profitable business enterprises to provide a maximum, long-term financial return.
