The role involves performing compliance audits, conducting interviews, assisting with onboarding, and maintaining employee records, while ensuring adherence to legal requirements and optimizing HR processes.ResponsibilitiesWorks with the HR Team to support the execution of human resources plans and practicesPerform I-9 compliance and file auditsConduct exit interviews and stay interviewsProvide open enrollment support (possible onsite)Communication with employees to announce open enrollmentFacilitation of a meeting with the client, broker, HR team, and any other relevant internal PuzzleHR service teamsCompile EEO-1 reportingAssist with employee onboarding supportNext level support after Employee Onboarding AssociateCreation of SOPAssist in performing internal client investigationsMaintain employee records and information in client systemsHRIS familiarity to provide recommendations for HCM projects, working directly with HCM system supportInteract directly with clients in the areas of employee relations, compensation administration, benefits, talent acquisition, and organization talent development to support lead HR initiativesPartner with internal service teams to ensure the delivery of services accurately and efficientlyProvide input and support for HRSP projectsParticipate in developing and optimizing client systems and processesRefine knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trendsIdentify areas for continuous improvement of HR services and processesMaintain current knowledge of legal requirements as well as state and federal regulations that impact human resource functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in complianceParticipate in all department staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminarsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with at least two (2) years of progressively responsible human resources experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible human resources experienceCompany's working structure, policies, mission, and strategiesPrinciples, practices, and procedures of human resources administration associated with employment; compensation and classification; and employee developmentBroad knowledge of all functions that reside under the HR umbrellaLegal requirements and federal and state regulations related to employmentFacilitation and presentation methods and techniquesStatistical methods and concepts and other analytical tools used in human resource processesInterviewing and candidate evaluation processesMultiple HRIS and payroll software systemsAble to deliver clear and effective presentationsAnalysis of a myriad of HR data and ability to draw conclusions based on the dataInterpret and apply state and federal statutes and applicable rules and regulations to moderately complex human resource issues and problemsProvide appropriate recommendations for resolution of simple/moderately complex employment and employee relations issuesOrganize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environmentProficient in client relationship management tools, virtual meeting software, and Microsoft Office SuiteUse appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both verbal and written with all organizational levelsWork independently as well as collaboratively within a teamKeep all appropriate parties up to date on decisions, changes, and other relevant informationEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with othersPHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferredCompany OverviewPuzzleHR specializes in human resources, payroll management, and risk management solutions.
