Remote HR Generalist
About the Opportunity
A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote role supporting a small, collaborative workforce. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to improve HR processes while managing day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, addressing questions and resolving workplace issues
⢠Support performance management, including reviews, feedback, and development planning
⢠Partner with hiring managers on full-cycle recruiting and onboarding
⢠Evaluate and improve HR processes, policies, and procedures
⢠Review and update job descriptions to align with organizational needs
⢠Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration (ADP preferred)
⢠Manage HR operations, including employee records, compliance, and reporting
⢠Provide administrative HR support as needed
⢠Build and maintain HR tracking systems and databases
Qualifications
⢠5+ years of HR Generalist experience
⢠Strong foundation across employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and payroll
⢠Experience improving or building HR processes and systems
⢠ADP experience highly preferred
⢠Ability to operate as a strategic thought partner while remaining hands-on
⢠Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
⢠Comfortable in a remote, fast-paced environment
