[Remote] HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will play a vital role in managing employee experiences, ensuring compliance with laws, and overseeing various HR functions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Manage leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies and coordination with Payroll
ā¢ Support managers to document and manage performance issues
ā¢ Oversee contractor lifecycle, including performance management, extensions, and conversions to full-time roles
ā¢ Coordinate temp-to-hire processes and support hiring managers with smooth transitions
ā¢ Maintain and update the employee handbook to ensure accuracy and compliance
ā¢ Provide support for immigration processes, including documentation and coordination with external partners
ā¢ Administer offboarding processes, including systems access, and compliance requirements
Skills
ā¢ 3-5+ years progressive experience in an HR or People function, preferably in a generalist role
ā¢ Strong knowledge of leave management, accommodations, and employment law compliance (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
ā¢ Experience with California and San Francisco specific employment regulations
ā¢ Some familiarity with immigration processes and employment-based visas is a plus
ā¢ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
ā¢ Ability to manage sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
ā¢ Strong attention to detail
ā¢ Ability to communicate clearly across teams and levels
ā¢ Proven success working in dynamic, fast-paced environments - startup or scaling company experience preferred
ā¢ Ability to pass a background check
ā¢ Must live in and be eligible to work in the United States
ā¢ Experience implementing AI solutions
