[Remote] HIPAA Contract Manager/Paralegal (Fully Remote; Part-Time Engagement)

Latitude Legal is seeking a HIPAA Contracts Manager/Paralegal for one of its corporate clients with a strong background in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial agreements. The role involves ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and supporting counsel with contract negotiations and vendor risk assessments.
Responsibilities
⢠Draft, review, and manage a variety of commercial contracts (vendor agreements, business associate agreements, licensing agreements, etc.)
⢠Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and tracking systems to ensure consistency and version control
⢠Coordinate with internal departments (legal, compliance, IT, operations) to ensure contract requirements align with organizational policies
⢠Assist in identifying and mitigating HIPAA-related compliance risks in contracts and business operations
⢠Assist in developing and maintaining HIPAA compliance documentation, training materials, and audit responses
Skills
⢠3+ years of paralegal experience, with emphasis on contracts and regulatory compliance
⢠Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and related healthcare compliance requirements
⢠Strong understanding of commercial contract structures and key legal concepts
⢠Proficiency in document management and contract lifecycle systems
⢠Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
⢠Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required
⢠Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP) or similar credential preferred
