The role involves overseeing a team responsible for patient identity management and chart correction operations while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day leadership and oversight of HIM operations related to patient identity management and chart correction workflowsLead and support analysts responsible for patient merges, overlays, chart corrections, and medical record integrity initiativesEnsure compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA privacy requirements, and internal HIM policies and proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, quality measures, and operational productivityMonitor team performance, productivity metrics, and quality standards to ensure departmental expectations are metAssist with staff scheduling, timecard approvals, and other administrative leadership responsibilitiesPartner cross-functionally with operational and clinical teams to support timely issue resolution and maintain data integrityParticipate in meetings and projects representing the HIM department as neededSkills5+ years of Health Information Management (HIM) experience2+ years of experience leading or supervising teamsStrong experience with patient identity management, including patient merges, overlays, and chart correction workflowsHands-on Epic proficiency, preferably within HIM identity and chart correction functionsStrong Microsoft Office skillsAssociate's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related fieldRHIT or RHIA certification through AHIMA required upon hireLeadership experience within HIM operations in a healthcare environmentExperience with Cures Act and HIPAA Privacy RulesOnBase proficiencyBachelor's or Master's degree in a healthcare-related or business-related fieldCHPS, CHDA, and/or Epic certification preferredCompany OverviewIntePros is an established, woman-owned, privately-held technology and business services consulting agency committed to building long-term relationships and helping more companies leverage the power of a more diverse workforce.
