This role involves leading design and development efforts, collaborating with teams to improve clinical and operational outcomes, and providing architectural guidance for the Epic platform and broader health IT ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesLead strategic technology planning, partnering with leadership to define long-term architecture roadmaps aligned with OCHINâs clinical, operational, and business goalsServe as a trusted advisor and consultant on complex design, architecture, and support challengesDesign and implement strategic solutions to meet both internal and external needsEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend adoption strategies that enhance care delivery and system performanceProvide technical leadership, guiding teams through planning, development, and deploymentCollaborate cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve complex system issues while enhancing system efficiency and performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and clinical outcomesLead technical escalations, providing expert-level support across Epic EMR and enterprise/vendor systems to maintain operational continuityDevelop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance models to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across solutionsChampion continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and modernizationSupport strategic projects and initiatives as assignedSkills6 years' experience with Epic application administration, that includes strong knowledge of Epic build, enhancements, and workflow3 years' experience or Epic certification in two or more of the following Epic modules is required: EpicCare Ambulatory, Radiant, ASAP, HIM, Prelude, Cadence, Hello World, Security, Identity, and Interconnect3 years' experience integrating external applications using SMART on FHIR, SAML, XML, Epic Private APIs, or device integration required2 years' experience developing custom Epic code, or Epic ChroniclesDatabase Programmer certification - Preference given to candidates with Database Programmer CertificationExperience in healthcare management preferredExperience in organizational management with the ability to work across teams to develop and execute operational projects preferredExperience in effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas, excellent project management skills preferredPrior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50â60-minute competency assessmentExperience in healthcare management preferredExperience in organizational management with the ability to work across teams to develop and execute operational projects preferredExperience in effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas, excellent project management skills preferredBenefitsWe offer a generous compensation packageWe are committed to supporting our employeesâ entire well-being by fostering a healthy work-life balance and opportunity for professional advancementOCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office locationEmployees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installationsWe offer a comprehensive range of benefits.
