About the position
As a Remote Healthcare Program Specialist at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in helping patients access the care they need. This fully remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while providing essential support to patients navigating their healthcare options. You will be responsible for responding to incoming calls and faxes promptly and efficiently, ensuring that each patient receives the assistance they require. Your role will involve conducting insurance verifications to determine the eligibility of prescribed therapies for coverage, which is vital for facilitating patient access to necessary treatments. In addition to insurance verifications, you may also coordinate prior authorizations and investigate alternative insurance coverage or other funding sources on behalf of patients, adhering to program specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of health plans, medical terminology, and call center operations, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders to ensure that patients receive the best possible support. The role is structured with a set 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. You will undergo approximately 4.5 weeks of paid training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this position. Requirements
• 2+ years of medical experience
