[Remote] Healthcare IT Project Manager

They are seeking a Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives supporting Medicare, Managed Care, and Population Health programs, driving complex healthcare technology projects from concept through implementation. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to improve care coordination, population health outcomes, and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end project leadership for multiple healthcare technology and operational initiatives, from project initiation through implementation, activation, and transition to operationsServe as the primary Project Manager supporting Medicare, Managed Care, and Population Health programs, reporting directly to the Program ManagerEstablish and maintain project governance, including project charters, schedules, forecasts, resource planning, risk management, and status reportingCollaborate with business, clinical, technical, and vendor stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, timely delivery, and alignment with organizational objectivesLead project team meetings, manage project artifacts, track milestones, issues, risks, and dependencies, and provide regular updates to leadershipForecast project resources, monitor financial performance, support capital planning activities, and ensure efficient allocation of resources across initiativesDrive implementation of tools and systems supporting longitudinal patient tracking, care coordination, health data integration, and value-based care initiativesProactively identify barriers, escalate risks when appropriate, and ensure open communication among all project participants to achieve successful outcomesSkills5+ years of Project Management experience leading complex healthcare IT, clinical systems, EHR, or population health initiativesProven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously through the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution through implementation and operational transitionStrong experience delivering EHR-related projects within provider organizations; Cerner experience preferred, Athena experience consideredExperience working with product development teams, Agile methodologies, or healthcare technology delivery teamsKnowledge of care coordination, Health Information Exchange (HIE), interoperability platforms, population health, or value-based care programsExperience with project financial management, resource forecasting, budget tracking, capital resource allocation, and project governance processesExperience utilizing ServiceNow and other project management tools in an enterprise healthcare environmentBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fieldClinical background or healthcare operations experience preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferredPrior experience supporting large integrated delivery networks or enterprise health systemsBenefitsHealth benefitsCompany OverviewOrion Groups provides IT consulting, custom software, cloud migration, integration, DevOps, and ongoing application support.
