The role involves delivering exceptional service and support to patients and clients by handling high-volume calls related to billing, payments, and medical claims.ResponsibilitiesHandle 60+ inbound and outbound calls per day related to billing, payments, medical claims, and coverage questionsRespond to telephone inquiries using standard procedures and scriptsGather required information, research account details, and resolve customer concerns accurately and promptlyClearly explain billing information, insurance benefits, and available services to patientsAssess patient needs and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues when necessarySchedule work to ensure optimal call coverage and maintain daily productivityCollaborate with leadership and peers using screen-sharing tools to support real-time problem-solving and performance goalsSupport department initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement effortsMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policiesAssist with department goals and recommend improvements to enhance efficiencyPerform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational successSkillsHigh School Diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus1–2 years of customer service experience requiredStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities with a calm, empathetic approachHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and collaboratively to meet and exceed performance goalsComfort using Microsoft Office Suite and adapting to new technologiesStrong attendance and reliabilityBilingual (Spanish) preferred (not required)Healthcare, insurance, or medical collections experience preferredFamiliarity with Medicaid, Medicare, Workers' Compensation, and liability claims preferredBasic understanding of medical terminology and the healthcare revenue cycleProven experience working with multiple systems and databases in a fast-paced environmentBilingual abilities are a plusBenefitsComprehensive Health Coverage: Group medical, dental, and vision plans available from the first day of the month following 90 days of full-time employment.Life and Disability Insurance: Basic life/AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability coverage provided, with options for voluntary life/AD&D.401(k) Retirement Savings Plan: Eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan at the beginning of the first calendar quarter following three (3) months of continuous service.Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrue Paid Time Off starting on your first day of employment.Flexibility in Benefits: The company reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate any benefits programs as needed.Company OverviewGetixHealth provides hospitals, clinics, university medical centers, and other healthcare facilities across the United States with comprehensive revenue cycle management (RCM) services.
