In this role, you will manage the vendor/carrier bid and negotiation process, contributing to clients' benefits strategies while developing your skills in financial analysis and project management.ResponsibilitiesPlays an active support role in managing placement activities of clients/projects of varying size and complexityDemonstrates a core understanding of all broad-based benefit programsDevelops an understanding of client’s needs and can identify products, services and carriers/vendors aligned to needsCoordinates internal and carrier/vendor meetings for placement projectsPartners with Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) to deliver analyses and project managementWith minimal supervision, analyzes proposal/renewal findings; makes suggestions within the placement team and/or Client Service team (CST) on potential finalist carriers small/medium sized clientsDrafts client deliverables for more senior colleagues’ reviewEffectively supports carriers’ placement negotiations for placement activities as assignedCollaborates with CST and H&B Communities of Expertise (COEs) to prepare for client presentations and meetingsDevelops and coordinates with the CST to deliver response to clients’ questions and project updatesResponds to carrier/vendor contacts on simple questions and clarificationsParticipates in carrier/vendor selection process and draft communication strategies to those not selectedBuilds carrier/vendor relationships to enhance WTW’s market positionFollows all internal excellence and compliance requirementsSkills1-4 years of experience dealing with the financials of health and benefit plans, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or at a health insurance company, preferred; alternatively, some exposure to, and interest in, health and benefits plansIntermediate knowledge of Fully-insured arrangements and understanding self-funded funding arrangements, including stop loss contracts and provisionsWell organized and detail orientedFlexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve complex issuesPassion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the clientStrong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely mannerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter attitude and ability to establish priorities, work independently and with limited supervisionStrong analytical, creative and integrative skillsExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPointState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joiningBachelor's degree preferredThis is a Remote position that would ideally prefer candidates from the NorthEast (New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia)BenefitsAnnual short-term incentive bonusMental health/emotional wellbeing (including Employee Assistance Program)Medical (including prescription drug coverage and fertility benefits)DentalVisionHealth Savings AccountCommuter AccountsHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsCompany-paid life insuranceSupplemental life insuranceAD&DGroup accidentGroup critical illnessGroup legalIdentity theft protectionWellbeing programAdoption assistanceSurrogacy assistanceAuto/home insurancePet insuranceOther work/life resourcesPaid HolidaysAnnual Paid Time Off (includes paid state/local paid leave where required)Short-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityOther Leaves (e.g., Bereavement, FMLA, ADA, Jury Duty, Military Leave, and Parental and Adoption Leave)Contributory Pension Plan and Savings Plan (401k)Non-qualified Deferred Compensation and Deferred Savings Plans (for All Level 38 and more senior roles)Company OverviewWTW is an advisory company that provides insight-led solutions in the areas of people, risk, and capital.
