[Remote] Head of Fund Finance & Administration - US

The Head of Fund Finance & Administration will architect the in-house fund operating system, overseeing the financial and operational infrastructure that supports multiple funds and enhances the company's value proposition.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement the chart of accounts, general ledger structure, and accounting policies for Infra One's master fund templateBuild NAV calculation procedures: mark-to-market policies, reserve methodologies, expense allocation, fee and carry waterfall modelsOwn the capital call and distribution mechanics: investor account tracking, payment flows, reconciliation, and audit supportEstablish valuation policies for illiquid/unlisted holdings (cost method, comparable company analysis, etc.) and coordinate with risk/CIO on valuation sign-offDesign dual-control procedures for cash movement, expense reimbursement, and fee calculationsBuild and oversee reconciliation protocols: bank accounts, custody statements, investor ledgers, and trial balancesEstablish audit-ready records management and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisorsOwn quarterly/annual close process: accruals, cutoffs, intercompany eliminations, and financial statement preparationEstablish procedures to run multiple funds (3, 5, 10+) with independent books, investor registers, and reportingCoordinate investor onboarding: investor data capture, account setup, AML/KYC handoff to operationsBuild investor reporting packs: quarterly capital account statements, performance summaries, and K-1 preparation for US investorsNegotiate and manage custodial arrangements with tier-1 US custodians (State Street, BNY Mellon, etc.)Ensure assets are held in segregated accounts and custody statements flow directly to investors per Advisers ActReconcile custodian reporting with internal records; flag discrepancies and unusual transactionsBuild repeatable processes and checklists for closing new funds and adding new GPsDefine technical infrastructure needs: accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Investview), reporting automation, and data integrity controlsMentor and hire fund accountants and treasury specialists as AUM and fund count growSkills8–15 years in fund accounting, fund administration, or investment operations at a PE firm, venture platform, or hedge fundHands-on experience designing and running fund accounting for 2+ funds simultaneouslyDeep knowledge of LP accounting, capital accounts, carry/fee waterfall modeling, and tax coordinationExperience with Delaware LP and LLC structures and tax pass-through reporting (K-1s)Strong audit and financial controls background; comfort with SOX-adjacent rigor even without formal requirementsExposure to fund administration platforms (SS&C, Apex, Citco, Northern Trust) and their workflowsArchitect's mindset: you design systems for repeatability and scale, not one-off solutionsOperational excellence: you obsess over clean data, audit trails, and process disciplineDetail-oriented but strategic: you understand how accounting choices affect GP incentives and fund positioningLow ego, high ownership: you are comfortable hiring and managing people smarter in certain domains, but you own the whole systemCPA or CPA-eligible; MBA in financeExposure to multi-jurisdiction funds (US + Europe)Experience with infrastructure or venture fund managementBenefits20% bonusEquity: TBD (0.1%–0.25%)Location: Remote (preferred US timezone overlap with San Francisco HQ)Company OverviewIncubator for first-time Fund managers It was founded in 2023, and is headquartered in , with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
