The role involves collaborating with multiple digital teams and serving as an application expert for Epic's Professional Billing module and associated workflows.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance and ongoing support of Epic Professional Biling and other Epic modulesWorks across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish set goals as a teamIs a representative of the Information Technology team and is responsible for establishing, fostering and maintaining positive business relationships with Emory co-workers; interdisciplinary workgroups; clinical and financial department representatives; Epic partners; and all other staff who use or interact with the Epic application suiteInstructs, directs, supports, and provides technical guidance to other analysts and contractors and consultants, as necessaryFunctions as business partner with service lines, departments, individuals, and coworkersDevelops expert knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as educator and expert for system usersCreates/modifies/advises/trains on workflow improvements regarding system usage and designEstablishes and leads regular meetings proactively with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needsCoordinates operational and capital project requests with appropriate EHC IS and operational teamsActs as primary contact for supported applications regarding system down timeLeads delivery of technical consulting and support services and solutions with minimal management inputTakes primary ownership for Epic and other applications software and file maintenance support for break-fixes, optimizations, special updates, upgrades, and implementationsLeads/facilitates system design, validation, and/or remediation sessionsAssist with Epic Security assignment, security templates and maintenance where appropriateRemains current on Epic new version training for all applicable Epic certifications (if Epic)Provides leadership within and across teamsAssists and mentors team members and other staff and serves as orientation resource for new employeesDevelops and maintains positive relationships with team, department, and organizationParticipates in educational and leadership opportunities to enhance professional growth and expertiseServes as a positive change agent within and across teams.
