They are seeking a Group Sales Manager to focus on selling guest rooms and meeting space, managing accounts, and achieving revenue goals primarily in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets, while also targeting corporate opportunities in finance and insurance.ResponsibilitiesSell guest rooms, meeting space, and related hotel services to assigned group market segmentsManage an assigned account base, including existing customers, special accounts, and target prospectsSolicit and generate new business through proactive outreach, direct sales calls, prospecting, networking, and relationship buildingFocus primarily on pharmaceutical and healthcare group business, while also developing opportunities within finance, insurance, and other corporate marketsPrepare and present effective proposals, contracts, and business recommendations that align with client needs and hotel revenue goalsRespond promptly and professionally to leads, RFPs, phone inquiries, emails, and client requestsConduct site inspections, property tours, pre-planning visits, and client entertainment as appropriateNegotiate business terms to maximize hotel profitability while satisfying customer needsMaintain accurate, well-organized documentation, account files, sales activities, production records, reports, and follow-up plansPartner with Revenue Management, Events, Operations, and hotel leadership to qualify business and ensure smooth turnover of definite groupsCoordinate customer service requirements with internal hotel departments to support successful program executionParticipate in and, when appropriate, lead sales calls, sales blitzes, client meetings, and market outreachTravel for business development, tradeshows, customer appointments, and industry eventsMeet or exceed assigned sales goals, revenue targets, activity expectations, and account production objectivesRepresent Grand Hyatt DFW and Hyatt professionally in all customer, colleague, and industry interactionsDemonstrate Hyatt’s purpose of care through service, empathy, integrity, inclusion, respect, and a strong commitment to client satisfactionSkillsMinimum of two years of hotel sales experience requiresStrong understanding of the group sales process, account management, prospecting, and customer relationship managementProven ability to solicit, qualify, negotiate, and close group businessExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation, proposal-writing, and negotiation skillsAbility to build and maintain strong client relationshipsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environmentComfortable working with sales systems, lead platforms, RFP tools, reporting tools, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to travel for client appointments, business development, and tradeshowsSelf-motivated, competitive, professional, and goal-orientedRemote-based candidates must be located in Northeast U.S. states, as requiredPharmaceutical and/or healthcare group sales experience preferredExperience selling corporate group business, especially within finance and insurance sectors, preferredBenefitsFree Room Nights, Discounted and Friends & Family Room RatesMedical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision Insurance401K with company matchPaid vacation, sick days, new child leave, and personal dayPaid Family Bonding Time and Adoption AssistanceTuition ReimbursementFree colleague meals during shiftEmployee Stock Purchase PlanDiscounts at various retailers - Apple, AT&T, Verizon, Headspace, and many moreCompany OverviewHyatt is a global hospitality company with widely recognized, industry leading brands and a tradition of innovation.
