[Remote] Graduate Assistant – Financial Data Analysis (Part-Time, Remote)

Penn State University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support financial data analysis efforts for the Optimized Service Team (OST) initiative. This part-time, remote position will contribute to evaluating IT services and improving cost efficiency through data-driven insights.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial and operational data related to University IT services and expendituresSupport data collection, validation, and reporting for OST discovery workshopsDevelop insights to inform Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and IT service improvementsIdentify trends, cost efficiencies, and opportunities for process optimizationPrepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholdersCollaborate with Penn State IT teams to support ongoing analysis and decision-makingSkillsCurrent enrollment in a Penn State graduate programGraduate study in Finance, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with Excel and/or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, R)Ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectivelyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsCompany OverviewThere’s a reason Penn State consistently ranks among the top one percent of the world’s universities.
