The Government Lending Annual Servicing Manager is responsible for managing the annual servicing of the bank's Government Loan Portfolio, including requesting financial statements and performing cash flow analysis.ResponsibilitiesAnnual Servicing DutiesRequest financial and other ancillary information from the Relationship Manager or Borrower directly to update the bank’s credit filesSpread the updated business and personal financial statements and completing a stand-alone and/or global cash flow analysisPrepare the annual servicing memo per established SSB guidelines. Route the completed annual servicing memo along with the original credit approval memo from SSB or the legacy institution (only in instances where it is the initial annual servicing for the loan) to the SBA Credit AdministratorFollow up on questions and open items as needed with the SBA Servicing Manager, Relationship Manager, Borrower and or the SBA Credit AdministratorSubmit risk rating changes via the current tracking system as adopted by the bank upon completion of the annual servicingAdministrative DutiesWeekly review of SBA 7(A) loan past due report with the SBA Credit Administrator to determine if certain loan relationships should be reviewed sooner than scheduledMaintain a month by month work log for SBA Credit Administrator and Senior Management reviewUpdate the SBA Credit Administrator on SSB Annual Servicing Metric compliance %Assist the SSB SBA Administrative Team with credit related aspects of servicing memos on an as needed basis1502 report reconciliation to make sure all loans that need to be serviced are on the master listCLAR loans completed twice a yearMay also be required to complete site visits to Borrower’s place of business as neededEnsure that the Bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied withProvide assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactionsBe involved in performing marketing endeavors/effortsContinuously update skills by participating in professional trainingSeek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the BankAll other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by managementAccepts other duties as assignedSkillsA bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting is recommended in order to have a good understanding of financial statements and to make industry evaluationsAt least one year of experience in related fieldKnowledge of personal computer, Windows and Microsoft software applications is requiredMust be able to prepare documents and compose business letters and memorandumsMust have good knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuationRequires knowledge of office practices, procedures and general office machinesExcellent interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of the SBA SOP'sProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong organization skillsHigh attention to detailCooperative and willing to assist coworkers and customers on a regular basisEffective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to others talk (without interruption), understand them, and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made by othersPossesses multi-tasking skills and be able to function well under pressureAbility to remain composed under pressure and respond to customer and coworker concerns regularlyPatience and willingness to help others in solving problems while maintaining a positive attitudeCompany OverviewThe SouthState story is one of steady growth, deep community roots, and an unwavering commitment to helping our customers move forward.
