[Remote] Governance Analyst, Data Domains & Dictionary

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Wimmer Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Governance Analyst to support the development and management of their enterprise data governance framework. The role focuses on defining and organizing data domains, building and maintaining a centralized data dictionary, and collaborating across business units to ensure consistent data definitions and usage. Responsibilities • Define and maintain enterprise-wide data domain taxonomy • Collaborate with data stewards and business units to align domain definitions with business processes • Support metadata tagging and classification within each domain • Design and implement a centralized data dictionary using governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) • Ensure consistent definitions, formats, and business rules across systems • Partner with data owners to validate and update dictionary entries • Assist in the development of governance policies and standards • Support data quality initiatives by identifying gaps and inconsistencies • Participate in governance councils and working groups • Work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements • Provide training and documentation to promote adoption of governance tools and practices • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders Skills • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field • 2+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks (Acryl Data) • Strong analytical and communication skills • Experience with enterprise data environments and cross-functional collaboration • Experience with PASS or other authentication and data systems • Knowledge of Looker or other BI platforms • Understanding of data cataloging and lineage tracking Benefits • Paid time off and holidays • 401k & company match • Flexible Health Care, Dependent Care, and Commuter Spending Accounts • Employee Assistance Program • Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance • Short and Long-Term Disability • Payroll advance program, Charitable donation match, Athletic event sponsorship, • Referral reward program, and more… Company Overview • Wimmer Solutions is a provider of consulting and staffing services, professional services.
