[Remote] Global Payroll Operations Specialist - Israel

The Global Payroll Operations Specialist will be responsible for executing payroll and payments for customers across Israel, resolving issues with government agencies, and ensuring compliance with payroll and tax regulations.ResponsibilitiesExecute timely payroll, filings, and payments for all customers across Israel (and, if needed, selected countries)Drive issue resolution and communication with various government agencies and partners; you will directly interface with our customers and resolve issues on their behalfWork closely with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure that:The payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirementsProduct bugs and product issues (e.g., onboarding, calculation errors, offboarding, file generation errors, etc.) are quickly addressedInternal tooling requirements are properly prioritized and implementedSkillsMinimum of 4+ years in a global payroll processing role, and minimum of 2+ years in a client facing roleStrong Israeli payroll experienceExperience running payroll in-house with the most common Israeli payroll softwares (familiarity with Hilan / HaShavim is a strong advantage)Must hold a valid Certified Senior Payroll Accountant credential from a recognized Israeli professional body (e.g., The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel)Deep understanding of Israeli labor laws, National Insurance (Bituach Leumi) regulations, income tax brackets, and mandatory pension/study fund (Keren Hishtalmut) complianceProcess payroll activities in accordance with company guidelines, social security, legislations and local taxes requirementsExperience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Docs/Sheets/Excel, for data analysis and task organizationAbility to review and validate calculationsMust have understanding of payroll concepts, and strong knowledge of payroll regulationsHas working experience with payroll related systems and softwareDeep understanding of the leave entitlementsGood knowledge of labor legislationStrong organizational skills and able to work under strict deadlinesFluent in both English and HebrewBonus if you have experience running payroll in other EMEA countriesFamiliarity with Slack, Salesforce queues, JIRA tickets, and Confluence a plusProficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and GeminiCompany OverviewRippling is a workforce management platform that unifies HR, IT, and finance operations into a single system.
