The Global Account Based Marketing Director will lead the ABM strategy to enhance engagement and drive pipeline within strategic accounts through the execution of tailored marketing programs.ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive the strategy for targeted, personalized ABM programs to acquire and grow high-value accountsDesign, scale, and operationalize an ABM engine that connects brand, demand, and sales into a single motion, at global and regional levelResponsible for the design and execution of Smartsheet's ABM strategy, aligned to the overall marketing and sales goalsEvangelize ABM and communicate performance across Marketing and Sales leadership to drive clear strategic alignment and understanding of approach and resultsAchieve account and segment pipeline and engagement goals through account based marketing strategies and tacticsDevelop highly relevant messaging for single accounts and account clustersCreate and execute integrated ABM programs via insight intelligence, digital marketing, email, prospecting, direct mail, events and web bespoke tacticsPartner closely with Sales, SDRs, Field Marketing, Corporate Marketing and Product Marketing teams to orchestrate 1:1 & 1:Few account messaging, outreach and penetrationUse predictive marketing, CRM and marketing automation tools to monitor and orchestrate ABM outreachAnalyze ABM program performance, defining and tracking key performance metrics and measuring ROI to continuously optimize the ABM strategyProvide sales teams with relevant playbooks, collateral, and training to maximize program impactCoordinate with client-facing teams to gather feedback, adjust tactics, and synchronize outreach effortsPartner across Marketing (Product, Content, Digital, Field etc) to embed ABM best practices into global campaigns, launches, and customer expansionsOther duties as assignedSkills12 + years experience in B2B Marketing5+ years experience in focused ABM marketingExtensive B2B marketing experience across a variety of mediums, from developing messaging platforms to creating persuasive copy for email, direct mail, digital ads, SDR scripts and marketing assetsStrategic thinking and planning competency, with the capacity to develop and execute a comprehensive ABM strategyData analysis and interpretation skills, allowing you to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in account dataAbility to understand what's important to multiple buyer personas, including senior decision-makers, and developing tailored messaging and collateral designed to resonate with themProven track record of designing and scaling multi-channel ABM programs that deliver measurable revenue impactDeep understanding of sales alignment, buyer journey orchestration, and the interplay between brand, content, and demandExperience with ABM intent tools, Salesforce, Marketo and predictive analytics toolsSelf-starter with a “can-do” attitudeAbility to evaluate and navigate complex problems with multiple, evolving variablesCommunication and influence – must be an energetic and passionate with ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve ABM goalsPrior experience and success in leading high performing teamsResults–oriented with a passion for performance measurement and analyticsAbility to manage through multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlinesMust be legally eligible to work in the US on an ongoing basisBenefitsEmployer subsidized medical/vision and dental coverage for full-time employees401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)Monthly stipend to support your work and productivityFlexible Time Away Program, plus Sick Time OffUS employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plansUS employees receive 12 paid holidays per yearUp to 24 weeks of Parental LeavePersonal paid Volunteer Day to support our communityOpportunities for professional growth and development including access to Udemy online coursesCompany Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet accountTeleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)Company OverviewSmartsheet is a cloud-based work management platform that empowers collaboration, drives better decision-making, and accelerates innovation.
