[Remote] GitHub Platform Admin
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CirrusLabs is seeking a skilled GitHub Platform Admin to manage, optimize, and secure their organization's GitHub ecosystem. The role involves ensuring smooth collaboration for developers, enforcing best practices, and scaling repositories for growing teams.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Administer GitHub Enterprise/Cloud accounts, including user access, permissions, and organization settings
ā¢ Set up and maintain repositories, workflows, Actions, and integrations with tools like CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
ā¢ Monitor usage, enforce security policies (e.g., branch protection, secret scanning), and troubleshoot issues
ā¢ Automate tasks using GitHub API, webhooks, and scripting (Python/Bash)
ā¢ Train teams on GitHub features and migrate repositories as needed
ā¢ Generate reports on repository activity and compliance
Skills
ā¢ Strong knowledge of Git workflows, Actions, Packages, and security features
ā¢ Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and API usage
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving skills and communication for cross-team support
ā¢ Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
ā¢ 5+ years hands-on experience with GitHub (Enterprise preferred)
ā¢ Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
