[Remote] Geotechnical Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GameChange Solar (GCS), one of the largest U.S. suppliers of solar racking and tracker systems, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in enabling the installation of gigawatts of solar capacity worldwide, supporting projects from early development through construction.ResponsibilitiesReview site geotechnical reports during project development and support the GCS business development team with technical evaluationsIdentify geotechnical design risks and provide preliminary recommendations for foundation type, embedment depth, and feasibilityDevelop load test (pull test) procedures for field verification of foundation designsReview and interpret pull test results and collaborate with internal geotechnical and structural engineers to finalize foundation designsInterface with clients, contractors, and external engineers, and participate in project meetings as neededSupport continuous improvement of internal geotechnical design practices and standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experienceAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and geotechnical reportsFamiliarity with applying engineering codes and standards to design decisionsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsField oversite and planning of geotechnical field investigationsPrior experience with deep foundations, driven piles, or load testingExperience with LPILE or similar lateral pile analysis softwareModerate proficiency in AutoCADExperience working with ERP systems such as NetsuiteExperience in utility-scale solarBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceLife insuranceVision insurance401(k) matchingPaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programTuition reimbursementCompany OverviewAt GameChange Energy, we’re building the infrastructure that powers the clean energy future.
