[Remote] Generative AI Engineer

Matricstek Inc. is seeking a Junior Generative AI Engineer to support the development of AI-powered applications using large language models. The role involves building, testing, and improving AI-driven features such as chatbots and automation tools while collaborating with senior engineers and product teams. Responsibilities Assist in building LLM-powered applications (chatbots, assistants, internal tools) Write and test prompts and system instructions for better output quality Help implement basic RAG pipelines using embeddings and vector databases Integrate AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into backend services Support in developing APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask) Test AI outputs, identify issues (hallucinations, incorrect responses), and suggest improvements Work with datasets (cleaning, chunking, formatting for embeddings) Collaborate with engineering and product teams on feature development Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Basic proficiency in Python Understanding of Generative AI / LLM concepts Familiarity with prompt engineering basics Familiarity with APIs and JSON Exposure to tools like OpenAI API, Hugging Face, or similar Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn Personal or academic projects using chatbots or AI tools Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases Basic knowledge of REST APIs and backend development Familiarity with Git and version control Internship or project experience in AI/ML Company Overview At Matricstek Inc, we operate at the intersection of data science training, interview readiness, and real hiring pipeline access, helping candidates transition from learning to employment with a structured, outcome driven approach.
