[Remote] Funding Adjustment Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Verus Mortgage Capital is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Funding Adjustment Analyst to support the accounting function. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end funding adjustment process, ensuring funding accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining financial integrity.
Responsibilities
β’ Serve as a part of the funding adjustment team, ensuring timely research, resolution, and documentation of all adjustments
β’ Manage and maintain the funding adjustment dashboard, including status updates, tracking, and reporting
β’ Monitor and respond to the Verus Funding Adjustment email inbox in a timely and professional manner
β’ Research and resolve post-funding adjustments, including pricing variances, fee discrepancies, curtailments, and other loan-level differences
β’ Communicate directly with Fund Administrators, DC Accounting Teams, Servicing, Lock Desk, and external Sellers to resolve outstanding items
β’ Monitor Post Funding cash accounts for incoming funds and prepare wire templates to transfer funds to appropriate accounts
β’ Prepare weekly wire templates for funding adjustment processing and confirm outgoing wire instructions
β’ Prepare and distribute funding adjustment statements to Sellers
β’ Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within funding and treasury workflows
β’ Cross-train and provide backup support across core Accounting & Finance functions as assigned
β’ Participate in special projects and departmental initiatives as needed
Skills
β’ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
β’ 1β3 years of experience in cash management, loan funding, financial operations, or accounting support
β’ Strong understanding of funding processes and cash movement workflows
β’ Mortgage industry experience
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation analysis)
β’ Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
