[Remote] Fund Accounting Manager

The Fund Accounting Manager will oversee accounting, valuation, and reporting functions for over 29,000 funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP while managing a team of accountants.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of audited and unaudited financial statements, including footnotesManage Belltower’s financial reporting database and ensure timely preparation, review and delivery of financial reporting deliverablesInteract with external auditors and ensure timely completion of fund auditsContinuously improve the financial reporting control environmentOversee portfolio company events and data evaluation, determining appropriate valuation actions for each investmentEnsure that accounting treatment for funds is in accordance with US GAAP, particularly ASC 946, ASC 820, and evaluate special situationsCollaborate with engineering teams to drive increased automationManage and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants, including offshore team membersSkills5+ years of experience in investment company accountingExperience working at a public accounting firm and/or experience at a fund administrator or investment advisor in a financial reporting focussed roleProficiency in US GAAP, particularly ASC 946 and ASC 820Extensive experience in financial statement creation for investment companies/funds, including writing footnotesA track record of improving financial reporting control environmentsExperience in preparing materials for and coordinating with external auditorsA commitment to success, self-motivation, and proactivityExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with portfolio companies and lead investors professionallyCPA license (strongly preferred)Experience with crypto/digital asset accounting is a plus, but not requiredBenefitsSee additional details on our benefits hereCompany OverviewBelltower Fund Group is a financial services company that provides technology-enabled fund administration solutions.
