[Remote] Functional Consultant /Business Analyst

The Functional Consultant/Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing client requirements, performing system configuration, and building applications using a low-code application platform to meet client needs.ResponsibilitiesLead requirements analysis by collaborating with client stakeholders, leading workshops to understand their business needs, identifying and documenting requirements, and collaborating with solution developers to translate business requirements into well-architected solutionsDevelop detailed technical solution documentation in support of client business objectives, including process flowcharts, diagrams, user guides, etcParticipate in and/or lead technical design sessions with solution developersCreate, update, configure, and maintain business applications with our low code application platformEnsure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology, version control, appropriate testing, and risk guidelinesStay informed of new technologies and be aware of new platform capabilities, industry standards, and best practicesConduct working sessions with clients to facilitate feedback; resolve technical issues during client review and testingLead end user and administrator training sessionsFacilitate User Acceptance Testing, providing guidance to end users and resolving reported issuesTroubleshoot and debug system errors and implement solutions to resolve themAbility to travel domestically as needed up to 10%Other tasks and responsibilities as assignedSkillsDemonstrated experience leading requirements analysis activities, including documenting functional requirements and maintaining traceability to test casesDemonstrated experience leveraging an in-depth understanding of software capabilities to address business challengesUnderstanding of enterprise software and database structuresKnowledge of software development and deployment methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and related tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet, PlanView, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, TFS, etc.)Strong analytical mindset and ability to assess client business needsAbility to analyze technical options and formulate recommendationsAbility to approach solutions primarily through configuration, with customization where needed to meet the customer needsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and patiently communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audienceAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentExceptional attention to detail; strong organizational and prioritization skillsCapable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyComfortable working under pressure or strict deadlinesSelf-starter with a high degree of integrity and professionalismPassion for learning and personal growth, specifically when it comes to technologyProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointPrior experience in a technical consulting role implementing commercially available SaaS solutions (Certifications or prior experience with software such as Salesforce, Appian, or ServiceNow a plus)Experience working with low code platforms and workflow automation (MS Power Apps / Logic Apps is a plus)Experience working with APIs (Application Programming Interface, e.g., REST / Graph) preferredAbility to use mockup tools such as Figma, PowerPoint, etc. to explain design approachesExperience using JavaScript to build user experiencesBenefitsCompetitive Wages and Career AdvancementHealth and Welfare options include (medical, dental, and vision) health savings accounts with company contributions, medical flexible spending, and dependent care.401(k) with company matchContinuing education programUncapped flexible time off, accrued sick and parental leaveMonthly virtual team activitiesProfit Sharing BonusCompany OverviewSystem Automation is the leading regulatory management provider to government regulatory agencies, state licensing boards, commissions, partners, and approved resellers nationwide.
