[Remote] Full Stack React Native Developer

High Trail is seeking a highly skilled Senior React & React Native Developer / Architect to lead the development and architecture of their clients' web and mobile platforms. The role involves building and scaling production React and React Native applications, integrating with major social media platforms and internal tools to deliver a seamless user experience. Responsibilities • Design and architect scalable, high-performance React (web) and React Native (mobile) applications with a strong focus on mobile-first and cross-platform experiences • Develop and maintain frontend experiences using React and React Native, as well as backend services using modern web technologies, databases, and server-side frameworks • Lead development and ongoing improvements of our React Native mobile application, including performance tuning, platform-specific optimizations (iOS/Android), and release management • Develop and support integrations with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads) and platform tools such as HubSpot (CRM), LogRocket (analytics), and AWS • Implement features supporting custom content creation, influencer workflows, and advertiser campaign management across web and mobile platforms • Optimize React and React Native applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability, including bundle optimization, rendering efficiency, and API performance • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, lead code reviews, and establish best practices for React and React Native development • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business and UX requirements into high-quality technical solutions • Stay current with React, React Native, mobile development, and cloud architecture trends to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges Skills • 6+ years of experience building and architecting React applications • Strong, hands-on experience developing and maintaining React Native applications in production • Proven experience across frontend and backend development, including Node.js, API design, and cloud-based architectures using technologies such as AWS CDK, Terraform, AppSync, and DynamoDB • Experience designing and building mobile-first, responsive, and cross-platform applications with a deep understanding of mobile UX, performance constraints, and device-specific considerations • Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and services, including major social media platforms and tools such as HubSpot, LogRocket, and AWS services • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in React and React Native codebases • Strong skills in optimizing web and mobile application performance, improving load times, responsiveness, and scalability • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven approach • Advanced expertise in React.js and React Native, including modern patterns, hooks, and state management • Experience with mobile performance optimization, animations, and native module integration • Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) and modern frontend build pipelines • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams • Passion for staying current with mobile, frontend, and cloud technology trends Company Overview • At High Trail we build bespoke teams of elite specialist technology professionals, deployed from our High Trail Verified community.
