They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build critical systems and maintain scalable backend services that enhance customer interactions and optimize AI evaluations.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power the AI Configs productCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other LaunchDarkly engineering teams, to understand real-world challenges and improve GenAI workflows using our own platformContinuously optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systemsParticipate in architecture and design discussions, offering thoughtful input and collaborating with senior engineers to identify tradeoffs and make well-informed decisionsKeep up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI field and in software development best practicesTake ownership of code in production, participate in on-call rotations, and help improve the reliability and maintainability of our systems over timeSkills5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production-quality full-stack featuresHands-on experience building GenAI features, Agents, and/or working with Large Language Models (LLMs), either through direct model integration or leveraging AI APIs like OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or AWS BedrockUnderstanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning models, or deploying AI services in production environmentsExperience with designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIsExperience writing production-ready code with emphasis on quality and maintainabilityExperience with distributed systems or data ingestionStrong computer science fundamentalsCommitted to working in a communicative, collaborative environmentComfortable navigating ambiguous challenges in a rapidly evolving domain, and excited about staying at the forefront of AI advancementsStrong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering impactful solutionsProven ability to work closely with Product and Design teams to define requirements for new features in a fast-paced iterative environmentBenefitsRestricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.Company OverviewLaunchDarkly is a feature management platform that allows software development teams to deliver to their customers.
