[Remote] Freelance Marketing Coordinator

They are seeking a detail-oriented freelance marketing coordinator to support their marketing operations by producing content, managing digital assets, and ensuring marketing workflows are maintained.ResponsibilitiesContent ProductionMinor edits and copyedits to marketing materials (text updates, formatting, brand consistency)Upload and optimize videos to YouTube with proper descriptions, tags, and metadataCopyedit social media posts, email campaigns, and website contentDesign SupportSimple design edits in Canva (text adjustments, image swaps, date updates, resize for platforms)Maintain and organize MCEC's digital asset libraryMarketing OperationsTrack and log marketing requests in AsanaSchedule social media posts per approved content calendarCoordinate routine deliverable handoffs with MCEC's external marketing agencySupport email campaign setup and deployment in MailchimpSkillsDemonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or a related fieldStrong writing and editing skills with high attention to detailProficiency in Canva; Adobe Creative Suite a plusAbility to manage multiple concurrent deliverables independentlyComfortable learning new platforms quicklyReliable internet and ability to work to agreed-upon deadlinesExperience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)Experience with YouTube or video content managementFamiliarity with Asana or similar project management toolsExperience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platformsConnection to military families or passion for education equityCompany OverviewMCEC® delivers programs, services, and professional development to meet the needs of military-connected students, parents, and professionals.
