[Remote] Freelance Creative Director (Experiential)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apex Systems is an experiential design firm seeking a Freelance Creative Director to assist their team part-time through April 2026. This role involves generating creative ideas, leading workshops, and ensuring project timelines are met for high-end beauty projects at outdoor festivals. Responsibilities • Generate original, bold creative ideas for clients and new business opportunities • Lead live ideating sessions, and client workshops when needed • Ensure creative partners meet all timelines / deadlines • Generate floor plans, mood boards, renderings, and graphic assets for events • Lead development + presentation of project proposals Skills • Must have high-end luxury experience and ideally outdoor builds • Ideally 6+ years of experience in creative direction / experiential design • Fluency in SketchUp or other 3D rendering software • Fluency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign • Strong knowledge of print production • A portfolio that includes 3D design work to share with the client • Ability to work 20-30 hours per week, remote • A computer that can handle all rendering / 3D design needs Benefits • Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan • Dental/vision/term life package • Discount prescription program • Critical illness • Accident • Tele-behavioral health • 401(k) plan • Sick leave • Minimum Value (MV) PPO medical plan • Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Paid holiday eligibility Company Overview • Apex Systems, a division of On Assignment, provides organizations with IT staffing solutions to address gaps in their current workforce.
