They are seeking a Founding Product Analyst to build a self-serve analytics layer on their data lake, focusing on improving product data accessibility and trustworthiness while managing reporting processes.ResponsibilitiesOwn product analytics infrastructure across the current stack: Snowflake, Superset, lightweight Python workflows, APIs, and Google SheetsBuild and extend the processing layer in Snowflake so downstream reporting and analysis become simpler, more reusable, and less fragileCreate self-serve analytics for Product and business stakeholders despite imperfect tooling, especially in SupersetDesign tracking for new features by defining events, properties, and measurement requirements together with Product and EngineeringMaintain and update tracking and downstream reporting when product changes, schemas shift, or old logic breaksReconcile conflicting numbers across tools, reports, and source logic and create clearer metric definitions that stakeholders can trustOwn recurring reporting flows including product reporting, internal reporting, investor reporting, and client-facing reports/dashboardsAutomate manual reporting work wherever possible, while being pragmatic about stakeholder needs, including outputs in Google Sheets or other non-standard formatsRun ad-hoc investigations and special analyses when dashboards are not enough, including pulling data from alternative sources or APIs when neededDocument the existing analytics and reporting setup so knowledge is not trapped in one person’s headIdentify tracking, schema, and instrumentation gaps proactively and work with Engineering to reduce reporting breakage over timeHelp shape the next generation of the stack, including evaluating and leading the rollout of a modern product analytics platform such as AmplitudeSkills5+ years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or a similar hands-on roleStrong working knowledge of SQL and Snowflake or a similar cloud warehouse environmentExperience building intermediate processing tables, reusable data models, or data marts for downstream analyticsStrong BI experience, ideally with Superset, and/or tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BIComfortable with basic scripting in Python for analytics tasks, including pandas, JSON handling, simple scripts, and API-based data pullsExperience designing and maintaining product tracking for features, events, properties, funnels, and retention metricsAbility to debug broken reporting logic when schemas, instrumentation, or source systems changeExperience handling recurring reporting and keeping important reporting streams operational under imperfect conditionsComfort using Google Sheets as a stakeholder-facing output surface when needed, even if it is not the ideal long-term solutionStrong understanding of product metrics such as feature usage, engagement, drop-off, funnels, cohorts, and retentionStrong communication and judgment: you can clarify ambiguous requests, align on definitions, and explain trade-offs clearlyComfortable as a solo IC in a startup environment, including being a temporary bottleneck for important reporting while building better structureExperience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or similar product analytics toolsExperience with version-controlling reporting queries and scripts in Git or a similar workflowFamiliarity with data ingestion flows, pipeline monitoring, or being able to inspect how data gets into the warehouse when something breaksExperience in GDPR-sensitive or regulated environments, ideally health-relatedExperience automating client-facing or external reporting across repeated reporting cyclesBenefitsTop Tech company in Digital Health: Work in a fast-growing, innovative environment where your impact is visible.True impact in healthcare: Contribute to a unique platform with the potential to improve health for millions.International team: Join colleagues from 14+ nationalities, united by a shared vision.100% remote with best IT equipment: Enjoy full remote work, regular team events, and top-notch equipment.Company OverviewXO Life connects patients and pharma for the better life.
