Power NIL is building the business infrastructure for the NIL marketplace, helping various stakeholders turn NIL partnerships into a scalable growth engine. They are seeking a high-impact partner for a founding-team business development role to build a revenue pipeline and navigate NIL workflows while representing the company in the NIL ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesBuild and own a revenue pipeline across NIL stakeholders: collectives, universities/athletic departments, compliance staff, athlete reps, agencies, and brandsSource opportunities through outbound, warm intros, events, and channel relationshipsLead deal cycles end-to-end: discovery → offer packaging → negotiation → close → expansion/renewalsDevelop repeatable GTM motions: ICP, positioning, pricing/tiers, outreach scripts, partner playbooks, and referral loopsRun stakeholder-specific discovery (each has different incentives): risk reduction, speed-to-approval, athlete outcomes, brand safety, reporting, and renewal leverageNavigate NIL workflows and constraints: disclosures, approvals, documentation, brand usage rights, contract terms, and policy boundariesBuild partnership packages that reduce friction for schools and brands while improving deal velocity and close ratesAlign the right stakeholders early (compliance, legal, athlete services, marketing, collectives) to avoid late-stage deal blockersBe a front-line ambassador for Power NIL with credibility across sports business and NILAttend and leverage conferences, campus-adjacent networks, and partner meetingsBuild lightweight sales enablement: one-pagers, decks, case studies, objection handling, and ROI narrativesCollaborate closely with the founder to shape strategy, partnerships, and roadmap priorities based on market feedbackSkills5+ years in sports sponsorships / partnerships / sports business developmentExperience selling to or working with: brands, agencies, rights holders, universities/athletics, athlete marketing, collectivesStrong negotiation instincts (you understand value, packaging, activation, and renewal strategy)Comfort with ambiguity + high-velocity executionConfidence communicating with senior stakeholders (brand leads, agency principals, AD staff, collective operators)The ability to sell to risk-aware stakeholders (compliance/legal/athletics) and growth stakeholders (brands/agencies/collectives)Direct NIL experience (collectives, university NIL workflows, athlete representation, campus ecosystems)Familiarity with compliance-adjacent operations: deal workflows, disclosures, contract tools, approvalsA strong footprint in the sports business community (events, partnerships groups, industry relationships)BenefitsFull equity compensation package is discussed during the interview process based on experience, scope, and ramp plan.Base salary leveled with equity ownershipCommission since Day 1.Company OverviewPNIL (Power NIL) helps universities approve NIL deals with confidence by turning athlete exposure into defensible fair market value.
