[Remote] Financial Reporting Manager

The Group Financial Reporting Manager owns the quality and integrity of financial reporting across the Group, ensuring compliance and sound decision-making. The role involves leading financial reporting, treasury management, tax compliance, and maintaining robust financial controls.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group and all subsidiary entities in accordance with FRS 102, taking ownership of accuracy and on-time deliveryProduce consolidated reporting packs, group consolidations, and financing statements for senior leadership and external partiesEnsure financial records are complete, well-documented, and supported by appropriate audit trails in line with statutory obligationsOwn balance sheet reconciliations across loan accounts, financing arrangements, and other areas as directedDrive short-term cash flow forecasting and day-to-day liquidity management, partnering with the financial controller on broader treasury strategyPrepare covenant compliance calculations and associated lender reporting schedules to agreed timelinesMaintain accurate accounting treatment and disclosure for all borrowings, interest charges, and financing structuresOversee the payments approval process and administration of delegated financial authoritiesOwn group-wide tax compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns and oversight of filing deadlinesManage the corporation tax cycle in conjunction with external tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate filingsSupport the finance team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating tax risk across the GroupLead the annual R&D tax credit submission process end to endDesign and maintain a robust financial controls environment across the Finance function, keeping policies and procedures currentProvide ongoing oversight of financial risk reporting, tracking key compliance and control risks to resolutionAdminister Group insurance programmes and support the business in the annual placement and renewal processAuthor technical accounting memoranda supporting material judgements, complex transactions, and new standards adoptionAct as an internal technical accounting resource, providing guidance and support to the wider finance teamOwn and maintain Group accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across all entitiesSkillsQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experienceProven track record in the preparation of management accounts, month-end and year-end close processes, and statutory financial statementsHands-on experience authoring technical accounting papers covering judgemental or complex accounting mattersSolid working knowledge of FRS 102 and a sound understanding of the broader UK tax landscapeA confident and credible communicator, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences, in writing and verballyStrong relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams and with external stakeholdersA track record of driving process improvement and managing change within a finance environmentBenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary, there are a number of benefits and perks we offer to say thank you for being a part of our journey:To work at a 3* World Class Best CompanyFlexibility over where you work with our Winning from Anywhere® approach25 days holidayHome working allowance paid monthlyWinning from Anywhere® allowance to help your set up at home24/7 GP at handImmediate 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance ProgrammeWe’ll support you when you’re not well with our Company sick pay scheme4x base salary life assurancePrivate health insurance after a successful year’s serviceEnhanced parental pay and leave, supporting you with those precious life momentsAccess to the Perkbox platform to help make your money go furtherCycleschemeElectric car schemeAnd many more!Company OverviewXpedition offers in Microsoft cloud-based sales, marketing, and customer service applications.
