[Remote] Financial Reporting Manager

They are seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and collaborate with various departments to enhance reporting processes.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation, review, and tie-out of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), XBRL exhibits, and coordination of tie out and review of quarterly investor/earnings materials and annual proxyDraft new disclosures that are aligned with US GAAP and peers, prepare internal reporting materialsPrepare financial statements and the statement of cash flows, ensuring complex accounting areas are properly reflectedProject manage quarterly reporting cycle, preparing the reporting calendar, coordinating with stakeholders and managing internal and external request listsLiaison with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits/reviewsConduct peer disclosure research with consideration for U.S. GAAP requirements as well as peer company disclosures and draft documentation to resolve disclosure mattersAssist with certain monthly Accounting closing procedures including preparing journal entries and account reconciliationsMentor, coach, and develop junior accounting staff while proactively supporting ad hoc financial reporting requests and initiativesContinuously optimize SEC reporting processes, strengthen controls, and increase automationMaintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirementsBe an active participant on special projects as they ariseSkills5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
